Rest Exchange (ReX)

The self-hosted REST API workflow and integration platform for connecting, transforming, and automating data exchange between your systems.

Rest Exchange (ReX) mascot

What is Rest Exchange?

Rest Exchange (ReX) is a REST API workflow management system built for teams that need to connect different systems together without writing and maintaining custom integration code for every pair of APIs. You register your source and target endpoints as connectors, design a workflow that orchestrates calls between them, and let ReX handle the transformation, scheduling, and execution.

It's built with a microservice architecture, ships as a Docker image, and is licensed for self-hosted deployment on your own infrastructure — so your data and integrations stay inside your own environment.

Key Features

Visual Workflow Builder

Orchestrate multi-step interactions between APIs using a visual workflow designer — no glue code required.

Flexible Connectors

Register endpoints secured with none, Basic, Bearer, API Key, JWT, or OAuth2 authentication out of the box.

Custom Transform Functions

Write, compile, and test Groovy-based functions to transform payloads exactly the way your integration needs.

AI-Assisted Development

A built-in AI assistant helps you write and debug transformation functions faster, backed by your choice of model provider.

Scheduling

Automate recurring workflow executions on a schedule, so routine data exchange runs without manual intervention.
